FOR SHIPPING

Hello Kimchi lovers.

Please find the behind story about packaging and posting of our handmade beautiful products.

We suggest to choose a food grade standing pouch in stead of glass jar as it cause lots of issues during transit. Please move Kimchi to your favorite containers if you don't like plastic pouch.

Lid keep popping off as the gas created by fermentation and more material needed to protect glass jars. It costs more ( 5 times expensive than food grade plastic pouch) and create more garbage. I assume heavy stuff uses more energy during transit. And gives hard work to driver. Damage happens so often during transit even though I put lots of protection. Shipping cost my supplier charge me is very high as they are heavy and big. It takes lots of space in my small Kitchen. Due to all these reason, I decided to charge $4 more for 450g of Kimchi than plastic pouch. I portion them just before shipping for transit, so all you need to do is moving them into your favorite containers. Put the lid tight, so no bad bacteria goes in.

As Kimchi has lower PH than 4.6, very low chance of bad bacterial to grow during transit with warm temperature.

Warmer temperature means fast ferment. Very safe to eat.

We send fresh Kimchi as it ferments more on the way.

Our product is 100% handmade using natural ingredients, slow/wild ferments means expensive labor cost.

To keep costs down, we prefer humble packaging as long as products arrived safe and yummy.
